The Lady Bruins hosted Scott County in a Pink Out game to raise Breast Cancer Awareness. All admissions, concessions and donations were sent to breast cancer awareness foundations. The Lady Bruins were honored to have a member of the Bruin family and breast cancer survivor Kim Kelley throw out the first pitch!
The Ballard Lady Bruins Softball team went on a shopping spree with Coach Alan Jones and Coach Kevin Humphrey to assist some needy families this Christmas. The girls had a great time selecting gifts and wrapping them up for the families. Coach Jones was able to teach his Lady Bruins an invaluable lesson on the true meaning of giving and how good it feels to do so.
The Lady Bruins softball organization collected a tractor trailer load of donated items and supplies for the tornado victims of Henryville, Indiana. On Saturday, March 10th, 2012 the team delivered those donations and saw first hand the devastation of the EF-4 tornado that took place there. The team spent several hours cleaning up fields filled with debris from the tornado. Ballard Softball would like to thank everyone who contributed!
